Everybody’s skin is unique. That means that it ages differently and has different needs than someone else’s. Because of this, it can be difficult trying to find a skin rejuvenation treatment that will help meet your individual aesthetic goals. That is why we offer the Sciton Halo Laser, one of the most versatile and customizable treatment available today!
The Halo Laser is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, which means that it combines two lasers in one. It is scientifically proven to improve the appearance of sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, skin texture, large pores, and more without the downtime of traditional ablative and fractional lasers.
What can Halo laser treat?
Dr. Ellen can customize your Halo treatment to your specific desired results. If you are not looking to take time off from work to recover, a light treatment will give you vibrant and smooth skin without any need for downtime. If you wish for a more dramatic improvement, then a more aggressive treatment can give you a deep glow with a few days of downtime.
Here are the skin issues that can be treated with the Halo Laser:
- Sun damage
- Discoloration
- Visible aging signs
- Uneven skin tone
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven skin texture
- Fine lines with Halo Hybrid treatment
- Scar revision with Halo Hybrid treatment
What is the Sciton Halo treatment like?
About an hour before your Halo laser treatment, we will apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Your face is then measured using motion tracking technology to make sure that the treatment is even. Each section of your face is treated one by one using the handpiece in a crisscross pattern.
In addition to the topical ointment, the integrated cooling technology of the laser treatment ensures that you feel little to no discomfort during your procedure. Most patients report that they feel heat accompanied by occasional prickling sensation. Once your treatment is over, you may continue to feel warm for another 15 to 30 minutes.
Different steps involved in the Sciton Halo procedure
Sciton Halo works by using three pre-programmed levels. Your physician chooses from three coverage levels while the Halo system calculates the right level of energy that can be used for an effective and safe procedure.
Pro mode is used for controlling the depth independently and the wavelength coverage helps to achieve a customized treatment.
Dynamic Thermal Optimization measures the skin temperature and it can automatically change the density of energy and the pulse width to ensure that the laser is used as per specifications.
Optical navigation measures the speed at which the handpiece moves dependent on your skin and it can adjust the scanning speed to achieve an even treatment.
When can you return to your normal activities?
It is important that you keep your skin protected for the first 24 hours after the Halo laser treatment. Our team will give you specific care instructions, but you can usually return to your normal routine in 24 hours. Your skin begins to peel after the first day, but you can apply makeup and return to work. With a facial treatment, you will see a bronzing appearance after 2 to 3 days from your treatment. By the third or fourth day, the skin begins to peel revealing your new rejuvenated skin beneath.
