Your skin goes through a lot over the years, resulting in irregular pigmentation, signs of aging, and a rough texture. With the Halo laser by Sciton, patients can rejuvenate their skin for a glowing appearance without the recovery.
What is the Halo Laser?
The Halo laser is the first hybrid fractional laser, using both ablative and nonablative laser technologies to effectively treat multiple layers of the skin. Dual wavelengths allow more intense wavelengths to target deeper layers, while nonablative wavelengths treat the surface, leading to minimal downtime.
What Can the Halo Laser Treat?
The Halo laser can provide overall rejuvenation to your skin for a younger, smoother look and feel. The Halo laser can also be performed to improve common skin concerns including:
- Sun spots
- Age spots
- Uneven tone
- Large pores
- Signs of aging
The Treatment Process
Before the treatment process, a topical anesthetic can be applied to the skin to maximize patient comfort. The Halo handpiece will then be rolled across the treatment areas, delivering laser energy below the skin. While the handpiece is being rolled across the skin, motion tracking technology ensures that each area is evenly treated.
Recovery and Results
In the first 24 hours after treatment, patients should follow the aftercare instructions given to them and keep the area covered. After the first day, patients can return to their regular activity. After this time, the outer, damaged layer of skin will begin to peel, revealing new and improved skin beneath. The skin will be extra sensitive during this time, so it’s important to avoid overexposure to the sun and wear daily sunscreen. Patients can begin to see the results of their Halo laser treatment in just a few days. These results will continue to improve over the next several weeks. New skin cells will continue to regenerate, resulting in glowing skin and a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance. Touch-up sessions can be performed in the future as needed.
