During healing, your skin is very sensitive to sunlight and can easily burn, so be sure to avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, hot tubs, blowing heat (such as from a hair dryer), and heating pads. Exposure to nicotine products can delay healing, so avoid smoking, nicotine patches or gum, and other tobacco products.
